Itsukushima, also known as Miyajima, is a small island located in Hiroshima Bay, Japan. It is famous for its iconic floating torii gate, which appears to float on the water during high tide.

To visit Itsukushima, you can take a ferry from Miyajimaguchi Station, which is about a 10-minute train ride from Hiroshima Station. The ferry ride takes about 10-15 minutes and costs 180 yen (about $1.70 USD) one way.

There is no entrance fee to visit the island, but there is a 300 yen (about $2.80 USD) admission fee to enter the Itsukushima Shrine, which includes access to the inner shrine and treasure hall.

The Itsukushima Shrine is open from 6:30am-5:30pm (April-September) and 6:30am-5:00pm (October-March). The torii gate can be seen at any time, but it is best viewed during high tide.

Other popular attractions on the island include the Daisho-in Temple, which is open from 8:00am-4:30pm, and the Mount Misen hiking trail, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area.
