TOLEDO, Patrimonio de los Sentidos
Depositaria de más de dos milenios de historia, T oledo, declarada
por UNESCO en 1986 Conjunto histórico Patrimonio de la
Humanidad, fue sucesivamente municipio romano, capital del
reino visigodo, plaza fuerte del emirato de Córdoba, ciudad de El
Greco, y conocida como la ciudad de las T res Culturas. En el siglo
XVI fue la sede temporal del poder supremo bajo el reinado del
emperador Carlos V y la ciudad es nombrada “ciudad imperial
y coronada”. Sus monumentos son obras maestras de sucesivas
civilizaciones, que hoy refl ejan el contraste y armonía de una
ciudad del siglo XXI en perfecto equilibrio.
TOLEDO, Heritage of the Senses
The city of Toledo, holder of more than two millennium of History,
was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. Toledo
was successively Roman town, capital of the Visigoth kingdom,
fortress of the Cordoba emirate, city of El Greco, known as the city
of the Three Cultures. In the XVI century was the temporary seat of
the supreme power under the reign of the Emperor Charles V, and
the city is proclaimed “Imperial and crowned city”. Its monuments
are masterpieces of diff erent civilizations, which today refl ect a
contrast and a harmony of a XXI century city in perfect balance.

La Judería Aljama de Toledo, durante la Edad Media, la
más grande de Castilla con más de 10 Sinagogas, conserva
las dos Sinagogas de estilo mudéjar más significativas de
Europa . Además del mejor museo de la cultura Sefardí . During the Middle Ages, the Jewish Quarter Aljama in
Toledo was the most important in Castilla with more than 10
Synagogues. Still today, there are two conserved Mudejar
style Synagogues considered the most important in Spain.

and wide-variety style in the city of Toledo. It’s preserved in
synagogues, mosques, churches and gates. A combination of
