Nishihotakadake is a mountain located in the Northern Japan Alps near Matsumoto city. The mountain is a popular destination for hikers and offers stunning views from the summit.

To access Nishihotakadake, visitors can take a bus from Matsumoto Station to Kamikochi, and then take a 2-3 hour hike to the summit. The bus ride takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs around 2,500 yen (23 USD) round-trip.

There is no official website for Nishihotakadake, but visitors can find more information at the Matsumoto Tourist Information Center.

In the surrounding area, visitors can also explore Kamikochi, a beautiful valley with hiking trails and stunning views of the Northern Japan Alps. The area is open from mid-April to mid-November, and admission costs 600 yen (5.50 USD) per person. Additionally, the Matsumoto Castle is a must-see attraction in the city, open from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with an admission fee of 610 yen (5.60 USD) for adults.
