Tenryū-ji is a Zen temple located in the Arashiyama district of Kyoto, Japan. The temple was founded in 1339 and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In the surrounding area, visitors can also see the famous Bamboo Grove, which is a short walk from the temple. The Bamboo Grove is open 24 hours a day and is free to visit.
