The Hal Saflieni Hypogeum is a unique prehistoric underground burial site located in the village of Għajn Tuffieħa, Malta. The site is open to visitors, but due to its delicate nature, only 80 visitors are allowed per day, so it is recommended to book tickets in advance.
The official website for the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum is www.heritagemalta.org/hal-saflieni-hypogeum. The entrance fee is €35 for adults, €20 for students and seniors, and €15 for children aged 6-11. Children under 6 are not allowed.
The Hypogeum is open from Monday to Sunday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, but it is closed on certain public holidays. Visitors are not allowed to take photographs or use flash while inside the site.
In the surroundings of Għajn Tuffieħa, visitors can enjoy the beautiful sandy beach of the same name. There are also several hiking trails and natural attractions, such as the nearby Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park. The park is open from Monday to Sunday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and offers guided tours, hikes, and other activities.
