The Borromean Islands are a group of three small islands located in Lake Maggiore, Italy. The islands are named after the aristocratic Borromeo family, who have owned the islands since the 16th century. Isola Bella is the most famous of the three islands, known for its Baroque palace and stunning terraced gardens.
