The Meðalfellsvatn is a beautiful lake located in the Hvalfjörður region of Iceland. There is no official website for the lake, but it is easily accessible by car.

To reach Meðalfellsvatn, you should take Route 47 from Reykjavik towards Akranes. After approximately 20km, turn right onto Route 48, which will lead you to the lake.

There is no admission fee to visit the lake, and it is open year-round. However, during the winter months, the roads leading to the lake may be closed due to snow and ice.

In the surrounding area, there are several hiking trails, including the popular hike to the top of Mount Esja. The hike takes approximately 4-5 hours round trip and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

There are also several other attractions in the Hvalfjörður region, including the Glymur waterfall and the abandoned whaling station in Hvalfjörður.
