Heimaey is the largest island in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago, located off the south coast of Iceland. Helgafell is a volcanic cone on the island that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The hike to the top takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

There is no admission fee to visit Helgafell, and there is no official website for the attraction. However, visitors can find more information about the island and its attractions on the official website of Vestmannaeyjar.

In addition to Helgafell, visitors to Heimaey can also explore the Eldfell volcano, which erupted in 1973 and created a new mountain. The Eldheimar Museum provides a fascinating look at the eruption and its aftermath. The museum is open daily from 10am to 6pm, and admission is 1,800 ISK for adults and 800 ISK for children.

Other popular attractions on Heimaey include the puffin colonies, which can be seen from May to August, and the Storhofdi Peninsula, which provides panoramic views of the island and the surrounding ocean.
