Another nearby attraction is the Reykjanesviti lighthouse, which is located on the southwestern tip of the Reykjanes peninsula. The lighthouse is open from 10am to 4pm on weekdays, and admission is free.

Finally, the Krýsuvík geothermal area is located about 25 kilometers from Grindavík. It features bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and colorful hot springs. There are several hiking trails in the area, and admission is free.
