Brákarey is a small island located off the coast of Borgarnes, Iceland. To visit the island, you can take a boat tour from Borgarnes harbor. The tour lasts about 2 hours and costs around 8,500 ISK (approximately $70 USD). Unfortunately, there does not seem to be an official website for the boat tour company.

Once on the island, visitors can explore the rugged coastline and observe the abundant birdlife, including puffins. The best time to visit is during the summer months when the birds are nesting. The island is uninhabited and there are no facilities, so be sure to bring any necessary supplies with you.

In the surrounding area, visitors can also explore the town of Borgarnes, which has a variety of shops, restaurants, and museums. The Settlement Center is a popular attraction, offering exhibits and displays about the history of Iceland's settlement. The center is open daily from 9am-7pm and admission costs around 2,000 ISK (approximately $17 USD). Another nearby attraction is the Hraunfossar waterfalls, which are located about 30 minutes from Borgarnes and are free to visit.
