Engakuji is a Zen Buddhist temple located in the Kanagawa prefecture of Japan. It was founded in 1282 and is one of the most important temples of the Rinzai school of Zen Buddhism.

The temple is open daily from 8:00am to 4:30pm and admission is 300 yen for adults and 100 yen for children. The official website is http://www.engakuji.or.jp/english/.

Some things to see in the surrounding area include the Great Buddha of Kamakura at Kotokuin temple (open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm, admission is 200 yen for adults and 150 yen for children) and the Hase-dera temple (open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm, admission is 300 yen for adults and 100 yen for children).
