One of the most famous shrines in Japan known to enshrine Sugawara No
Michizane. the god of scholarship. Built in 949. the shrine has been fondly
relerred to by the local community as Teniin-sen, The Tenjin Festival. the
largest summer testival in Japan. is held lar 2 days on July 24th and 25th

Just a minute walk from the Nippombashi Station on the subwav. Bunraku is a
rare art consisting of precise puppet show in which the storv is narrated and
sung to a shamisen accompaniment. Other tnan bunraku, buyo (traditional
Japanese dancing), Japanese music and popular entertainment are also
avaüable. There is a restaurant "Bunraku Sarvo" on the 1st ñoor. shops on the
2nd floor. the library regarding Bunraku on the 3rd tloor,

Kigeki with íts dailv performance. You can also

Yoshimoto talents and young comedians within the building. Renovated in April
2012 to commemorate the 1OOthanniversary of Yoshimoto Kogyo, you can also

Tayotomi Hideyoshi and the main tower was
