The museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm with the exception of certain holidays. Admission for adults is 120 SEK (about $14 USD) and children under 18 are free.

Some of the highlights of the museum include the world's oldest surviving Volvo car, vintage trucks and buses, and interactive exhibits. Guided tours are also available for an additional fee.

In the surrounding area, visitors can explore the nearby Haga district, which is known for its quaint streets and unique shops. Liseberg amusement park is also located nearby and offers a variety of rides and attractions. The park is open during the summer season from late April to early November with varying hours.
