Kuromidake is a popular hiking spot located in Yakushima, Japan. The official website for Kuromidake is not available, but visitors can obtain information from the Yakushima Tourism Association.

The trailhead for Kuromidake is accessible by car or bus from Anbo, Miyanoura, or Kurio. The trail is approximately 6 kilometers long and takes about 5-6 hours to complete. The summit of Kuromidake is 1,835 meters high and offers a stunning view of the surrounding area.

The trail is open year-round, but the best time to hike is from April to November. The trail is closed during the winter months due to snow and ice.

There is no admission fee to hike Kuromidake, but visitors are required to fill out a registration form at the trailhead. Parking fees apply for those who drive to the trailhead.

Nearby attractions include Yakusugi Land, a nature park with ancient cedar trees, and Shiratani Unsuikyo, a scenic hiking trail through a forested canyon. Both attractions are open year-round with varying hours depending on the season. Admission fees apply for both attractions.
