The Laguna Bosque Alegre is a beautiful lake located in the Poás Volcano National Park in Costa Rica. The park is open daily from 8:00am to 4:00pm and the entrance fee is $15 for adults and $5 for children. The official website for the park is www.sinac.go.cr/en/.
Visitors can enjoy a hike through the cloud forest to reach the lake, which is surrounded by lush vegetation and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The hike takes approximately 45 minutes and is considered moderate in difficulty.
In the surrounding area, visitors can also explore the Poás Volcano, which is one of the most active volcanoes in Costa Rica. The volcano is open daily from 8:00am to 3:30pm and the entrance fee is $15 for adults and $5 for children. Visitors can hike to the crater and observe the steam and gases that emanate from it.
Other nearby attractions include La Paz Waterfall Gardens, which features five waterfalls, a butterfly observatory, and a hummingbird garden. The gardens are open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm and the entrance fee is $44 for adults and $28 for children.
