The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is a must-see attraction for nature lovers in Costa Rica. The official website for the reserve is https://www.reservamonteverde.com/.
The reserve is open daily from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Admission fees for adults are $25 and for children under 12 years old are $12.50.
Within the reserve, visitors can explore various trails and see a wide variety of flora and fauna including over 400 species of birds, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 100 species of mammals.
In addition to the reserve, visitors can also explore the nearby town of Santa Elena. The town has a variety of restaurants and shops, and there are several other nearby attractions including the Selvatura Adventure Park and the Butterfly Garden.
The Selvatura Adventure Park offers various activities including zip-lining, hanging bridges, and a butterfly and hummingbird garden. The park is open daily from 8:30am to 4:30pm and admission fees vary depending on the activities chosen.
The Butterfly Garden is located in Santa Elena and is open daily from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Admission fees are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Visitors can see a variety of butterflies and learn about their life cycle and habitat.
